Duffy Assembly

This morning Jack Tame a journalist and a TV reporter came to our Duffy assembly to talk about reading. He explained that he loves his job even though it can be hard. He thinks it's hard because he has to wake up every morning at 3.30am and he also has to think of hard questions to ask whoever comes in to be interviewed. He got to interview Beyonce, Miley Cyrus, Richie Mccaw, Sonny Bill Williams, Jacinda Ardern and Katniss from the hunger games. He wanted to be a journalist and a TV reporter because he loves reading. And when he was a kid he use to love reading the news with his dad.

Mars Pods

Last week we made a Mars Pod to live in if we went to live on Mars (it was a mini version). We put  it up in front of the fan to see if it would stay up. Ours didn't fall, the only one that fell was Lesieli's.

Sea Cleaners

Today 2 people from Sea Cleaners came and visited our school. They tought us about the environment and what is bad about dropping rubbish on the ground. Did you know that wherever you are any rubbish you drop will always end up in the ocean. And when it ends up in the ocean fish, turtles and seabirds think it's food so they eat it and they die.

Bike Safety

Last Wednesday some people came to our school to teach us bike safety. I really enjoyed it.
